Giving to charity is at the core of Align’s values. Align is committed to corporate giving program that enhances the lives of the disadvantaged and the disabled.

shutterstock_69836632Consistent with our core values and focus,The Align Charitable Foundation supports qualified 501(c)(3) organizations that integrate sports and entertainment in their efforts to raise awareness, provide character education, life skills training, and improve the lives of people in these populations. We also require the athletes and professionals we support or work with to give a percentage of their earnings and sponsorships to charity. All Align Officers, Staff Members, and Align-supported athletes or professionals also donate time to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations.

Helping Athletes Achieve: the Role of the Align Charitable Trustee Board

shutterstock_81311647The Align Charitable Foundation Trustee Board is charged with overseeing our Corporate Giving Program. Only qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations meeting our giving guidelines and focus areas are considered. We are committed to making a positive impact by giving to charity through cash and in-kind donations as well as the dedication of time by our Professionals and Associates.

All charitable contributions are determined by the committee, and any organization wishing to be considered as a recipient organization must submit a copy of the IRS Tax letter acknowledging the organization’s status as a 501(c) (3) organization and a request for funding on the organization’s letterhead.

Supporting Athletes through Charitable Giving: Eligibility Guidelines

We focus on 501(c) (3) programs supporting the disadvantaged, disabled, education, health and wellness services in the United States. All organizations receiving any support, cash or in-kind, from Align must conform to the following eligibility guidelines:

Eligibility Requirements

An organization will be considered eligible if it is A U.S. nonprofit charitable corporation that has been granted tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“Code”), or, if a K-12 public school or school district, under Section 501(c)(3) or Section 170(c)(1) of the Code.

Ineligible Organizations

  • Organizations that discriminate in the provision of services unlawfully or in a manner inconsistent with Align’s policies.
  • Organizations that operate or support activities that are counter to the policies of Align.
  • Organizations that are actively engaged in highly controversial issues or use controversial tactics to advocate their position.
  • Labor unions or trade associations
  • Fraternal or political organizations

The Align Charitable Foundation Trustee Board is charged with overseeing the Align corporate giving program, selecting the recipient organizations, and determining the amount to be given to each charity. The charities supported by Align will be posted, with links to the organization web sites (when applicable) on www.MyTeamAlign.com.

Align reserves the right (in its sole discretion) to change, suspend, revoke or terminate its charitable giving at any time, without advance notice, and to make the final determination of the eligibility of all organizations.
